PEPID for Windows Mobile® FAQ.

  1. Do I have a Pocket PC or Smartphone?: PocketPC devices use a touchscreen, if your Windows Mobile device has a touchscreen, then it is a PocketPC. If it does not use a touchscreen, it is a Smartphone.

  2. I don't have internet access on my device? If you do not have a data plan or wi-fi on your device, you can connect the device with ActiveSync (or Windows Mobile Device Center) and the device will use the computer's internet connection. If you require further assistance, please contact PEPID Support.

  3. *Required for Windows Mobile 5 users. PEPID for Windows Mobile requires .Net Compact Framework 2.x which is delivered with Windows Mobile 6.0. Windows Mobile OS 5.0 users can download .Net CF 2 here. This application must be installed to the main memory of your device, you cannot install this to your memory card.

  4. *Required for Windows Mobile 5 users. The PEPID Notes feature requires SQL Server Compact Edition which is delivered with Windows Mobile 6.0. Windows Mobile OS 5.0 users can download SQL Server here. This application must be installed to the main memory of your device, you cannot install this to your memory card.

  5. Make sure you have enough space on the main memory of your PDA to install PEPID. By default the PEPID installation file saves to My Documents on your device, therefore, make sure you have adequate space to download the file, even if you are installing to a card. *Without the Illustrations, the program is about 17MB. If you install the Illustrations, the file size is about 24MB.

  6. Always install the PEPID Application file to the main memory of your PDA.

  7. Delete the PEPID installer(s) after installation, open File Explorer on your device and navigate to My Documents to find the PEPID install files.

  8. The PEPID Index loads with each start of PEPID. We recommend that once started you do not "exit" PEPID but rather swap between applications.
