PEPID Introduces the Platinum Suite

We’ve simplified access to PEPID’s products by putting together the Platinum series, which combines our award-winning, comprehensive clinical reference guides with the latest tools to help you provide the best patient care. The Platinum series offers the most affordable, all-inclusive access to PEPID’s content and tools for healthcare professionals.

The Differential Diagnosis Generator (PEPID DDX) is PEPID’s newest tool, which allows you to generate a weighted list of possible diagnoses by entering your patient’s gender, age, symptoms and severity of symptoms. The generator creates a list of potential diseases, disorders and other conditions, weighted according to probability of occurrence.

PEPID’s Laboratory Manual is also included in our Platinum series. It contains more than 400 lab tests and gives you access to critical values, test descriptions, crucial ordering points, method differences, normal reference ranges, related tests and equations. The lab manual includes a list of references in the table of contents and comes with free updates while the subscription is active.

The IV Compatibility Tool allows you to quickly compare the compatibility of medications in Y-site, syringe and additives. You can quickly check drug-solution and drug-drug-solution combinations prior to mixing when you’re in a clinical situation.

When you upgrade to the Platinum Suite, you’ll have access to all of the resources PEPID has to offer at a special discounted price. You’ll save by buying the series rather than purchasing each tool separately. If you have PEPID on the iPhone, you won’t need to do anything further to have access to this new tool. BlackBerry and online users should click here to upgrade to the platinum level.

An Update to PEPID’s iPhone’s Application Improves Navigation and Adds New Tools

PEPID for the iPhone was released last spring, but we recently made changes and enhancements in response to customer feedback and suggestions. Thank you for your input! The latest update has improved content navigation, added the option to change the font size, and eliminated the need for a wireless signal to check drug interactions or access dosing calculators.

The new Differential Diagnosis Generator is now a part of the iPhone application for our Emergency Physician, Primary Care and Clinical Rotation Companion suites. In addition, the RN Professional, RN Student, RN Critical Care and RN Oncology now include a symptom checker. Both tools allow healthcare professionals to select symptoms and create a ranked list of possible diagnoses.

We will continue to listen to our customers’ comments and improve PEPID for the iPhone, so keep the feedback coming! Free updates will be available through iTunes to current subscribers and trialers – watch for the next update that will allow access to medical calculators even when you’re not connected to the Internet.

If you are an existing customer who upgrades to the iPhone platform, PEPID will automatically roll over any remaining subscription time to your new account when you purchase the iPhone suite.
