PEPID Names New Executive
Phoenix, Arizona — November 2, 2011 — PEPID, the leading provider of clinical and drug information for healthcare professionals, has announced a new executive to its team.
Dr. Farhan “CJ” Hameed has taken the role of editorial director.
“Dr. Farhan “CJ” Hameed is distinguished in his field and provides exceptional talent, expertise and experience to PEPID,” says John Wagner, president. “I am pleased to have him on board as PEPID continues its mission to improve patient care and reduce medication errors around the world.”
Dr. Hameed most recently served as a faculty member teaching medical and health information technology, where he focused his research in the area of healthcare informatics and healthcare information systems. Prior to serving as a professor, Dr. Hameed practiced Psychiatry. Dr. Hameed is a member of the American Association for Technology in Psychiatry, Southern Medical Association, American Association of Community Psychiatrists and the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Psychiatry Academy. Hameed is also an active member of the Health Information Management System Society (HIMSS) where he serves on the HIMSS Mobile Initiative Task Force (mHIMSS).
Dr. Hameed is working from the PEPID offices in Phoenix, Arizona.
