INTRODUCING NEW HIGH-IMPACT EBM — PURLs
We are pleased to announce the introduction of Priority Updates From The Research Literature (PURLs) from Family Physicians Inquiries Network (FPIN) in our PCP and CRC products.  PURLs generate new evidence-based recommendations for practice for family physicians and other primary care clinicians.

The purpose of the PURL system is to identify original research studies, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses that report findings that, if implemented in practice, would be expected to improve patient outcomes. The PURL methodology includes primary literature surveillance, secondary literature surveillance, critical appraisal, review of the literature, peer review, editorial review, and clinical review.

We are also making it easier and faster to bring the evidence you need to practice. Starting with PCP and CRC 9.2, all evidence-based topics are listed both by specialty and chronologically. There are now individual chronologlical listings for Clinical Inquiries, Help Desk Inquiries and the new PURLs. All three resources combined are available through the specialty listing.
